JVR Looks To Return, Carcillo Out

I have seen reports that a lineup change will happen tonight for Game 4. It appears that JVR will be inserted and Carcillo will sit down.

Hopefully JVR got his legs back after being out of the lineup for Game 2 and Game 3.

What do you think about that LPS??

Eagles News: LG Herremans May Be Headed To Foot Specialist

There are growing concerns that G Todd Herremans is headed to Charlotte today to see a foot specilaist regarding the same foot he spent time dealing with last year.

Herremans, LB Stewart Bradley, RB LeSean McCoy are all out of practice this morning.

More to come on this story once it is confirmed.

Stewart Bradley Injured, Herremans Misses Practice Again

The bad luck continues for the Eagles as MLB Stewart Bradley injured his calf today and had to be helped into the locker room. Hopefully it is not serious.

The Eagles CAN NOT lose Bradley again. His injury last season was a big reason the Eagles D sucked last year.

Todd Herremans also missed his second straight practice with foot problems on the same one that he had surgery on last year.

Redskins Offer Westbrook An Offer

Garry Cobb tweets that the Redskins have offered Westbrook a contract offer and Cobb also reports that Shanahan is hopeful he'll join the team.

Keep in mind Westbrook's brother also plays for the Redskins.

No word on what the offer is, but ill guess it ranges about $1.2 million per year.

More to come...

Marlin Jackson Has A Ruptured Achilles Tendon

Eagles safety Marlin Jackson has ruptured his achilles tendon and is out for the season. Yes, again...

Not good news for the Birds who are pretty thin at safety to begin with.

Jackson Update: Eagles Saying Right Ankle

The Eagles are saying it's a right ankle injury for safety Marlin Jackson. I will let you know if I hear anything else.

Eagles Safety Marlin Jackson Goes Down

In a tweet from Les Bowen of the Daily News, it appears the Marlin Jackson experiment may be over already. In a 7 on 7 drill he was covering Maclin and went down on the turf clutching his right knee.

He was carted off, apparently crying and furious.

Not a good start to mini-camp...

The Eagles probably should not have practiced a player coming back from knee surgery on the turf in the bubble. Not smart at all!

Where The Flyers Hope Lies

On the off chance that you have not heard this information since last night's painful defeat in Chicago, I will pass it along.

You only have to look to last year to see the carbon copy of how the Flyers can win the Stanley Cup...

The Pens last year lost the first two games of the Finals in Detroit and won the series in 7 games.

How they did it? They returned home and won Games 3 and 4, Detroit won Game 5 at home, and Pens won Game 6 and 7. The home team won every game in the Finals until Game 7.

I believe history will repeat itself...

Do you??

Let's go Flyers!

Hawks Strike First, Then Again

Hawks strike back to back making it 2-0 out of nowhere. I hate this... The Flyers have outplayed the Hawks and are losing.

This is looking like the Boston series all over again...

Game Tied After First Period

The Flyers and Blackhawks are tied after 1 period. It's been a very physical and emotional period. The best news of all is Leighton looks great!

This upcoming period is going to be key in this series. Flyers need to get more physical and get more shots on goal. Take the game over right here!

Lidge Activated To Active Roster, Phillies Offense Still In Hibernation

Brad Lidge has been activated today and is available for use.

I wonder if he can hit?

This Phillies historical slump boggles my mind... How can a lineup this talented be this anemic??

I know they will pull out of this but wow, it renders me speechless. On a positive note, it is only May.

What does everyone think?

Happy Game 2 Monday

The Flyers and the Blackhawks will play Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals tonight in Chicago at 8pm. Tonight is a hair shy of a must-win for the Flyers. Not only do you not want to go down 2-0 in the series, but the Blackhawks are an amazing 7-1 on the road in these playoffs.

Feeling the need for victory, Lavy has made 2 significant lineup changes for tonight. Ryan Parent and JVR will be healthy scratches and Dan Carcillo and Oscars Bartulius will be inserted. Ryan Parent has had an awful playoff and I believe the Flyers realize they need energy and grit from Carcillo. I would probably sit Powe instead of JVR because Giroux, JVR and Asham has been a decent line. I would gander since Powe can play on the PK, that's why JVR will sit instead.

The final lineup move is not a change but a statement of confidence in Michael Leighton. He will get the start in between the pipes for Game 2.

I would think tonight's game will be a more crisp and defensive game for both teams. The big question that will decide the game tonight is what goalie will have the better rebound game. Leighton time and time again has come back dazzling, none will be more important than tonight...
